There’s a lot of fear moving through our profession right now. Some of us are arguing against the robots. Some of us are grinding to stay ahead of them. A lot of us are just watching the feed, stuck. We believe the best move is to do this with other people… compare notes, share what works, bring the next person along.
Everyone has an option here — the beginner and the AI-pilled alike. No budget? The tools and training are free. Able to pay for convenience or a personal touch? That support gets reinvested into the project. Never written code? If you can read, write, and talk, you can become AI-native. Already engineering swarms and loops? There are dedicated rooms for you too. Most communities revert to the lowest common denominator. This one is built to scale with you.
This isn’t the first time our industry has changed, and it won’t be the last. Paper books became spreadsheets, desktop apps became cloud apps, and accountants came out the other side every time. We’re all technologists already, because we’re all running on the cutting edge of some era. We believe this is a phase shift to a more powerful era of accounting, not an extinction event. We just need to adapt.
We won’t learn to be AI-native by refreshing our social feed, or pontificating about the future, or even watching demos of automations. We will become AI-native by building. Full stop. We will use AI to make things and solve problems — at first simple, then more complex, and so on. 100 reps > 100,000 words.
We believe some work is better suited for machines. For these things, we AI-maxx. We also believe some work is better suited for people. For these things, we human-maxx. Our ongoing mission is to discern which work belongs in which bucket. Humans and AI, not humans or AI. That’s the world we’re building for.
